What made you want to create a DIY Youtube channel?
I’ve been making YouTube videos for just over 6 years now. Time flies! I started my channel during my first year of university while looking for a creative outlet. My program didn’t end up being as creatively stimulating as I had hoped, so I started a DIY & lifestyle blog to begin with and ended up transitioning over to YouTube for more clarity on the DIY tutorials. I’ve been crafting ever since I can remember though. It was definitely one of my favorite hobbies growing up.
Tell us about your DIY activities, what was one of the hardest one you have done?
I recently started this new series called DIY Master, where I take on harder DIYs that I’ve never done before. I did an episode working with clay that was so much more time consuming that I thought it was going to be. I attempted to sculpt my dog and it really was one of the toughest 5 hours of crafting I’d ever done.
What Youtube channel or Who’s Youtube channel do you watch?
I actually watch a ton of YouTube. I watch a lot of the Try Guys, David Dobrik, Shane Dawson, Casey Neistat, Jess & Gabriel, Mia Stammer, Jenn Im, Alisha Marie
Do you watch any DIY Youtube videos (if so who is your favorite) ?
I surprisingly don’t watch a ton of DIY. I love Mr. Kate, who I’ve worked with and collaborated with before, but other than that it’s mostly lifestyle vloggers.
Grieves & Halsey.
Definitely anything backstreet boys.
Dream concert ticket (any band, any decade)?
For the sake of nostalgia, definitely The Spice Girls.
I’m a sucker for anything Disney/Pixar and a good rom-com or dance movie. Tangled, What’s Your Number and Step Up.
I definitely go through phases of not really watching too much tv, but recently I’ve been super into Riverdale, This is Us, Ozark and I just started The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Last fashion item purchased?
An online order from Forever 21 and treated myself to a Gucci bag.
Three people—dead or alive, real or fictional—that you’d like to invite to dinner?
Jimmy Fallon, Dave Franco & Halsey.
Do you have a party trick?
Finding the dog at the party.
Tell us a secret/ fun fact about yourself?
I’m allergic to literally everything, but super allergic to almonds. Like the face-puffing, throat closing type of allergic.
What does popular mean to you?
When a group of people come together in agreement that something, someplace or someone is “cool”, admired or liked.
Can you tell us about any shows or projects you have coming up?
I just had a bunch of major launches all over the US and Canada including Target, Hobby Lobby, Joann’s, Amazon and Walmart Canada. But there are definitely some new product lines in the works right now for 2019/2020!! I can’t give too much away, but I’m so obsessed with my dog and am working on some pet related stuff…
