Meet Popular It girl Sophie Hermann! Sophie wears many hats, not only does she appear on “Made In Chelsea”, she is a fashion designer and social media influencer. We are obsessed with following her, whether she’s casual in her denim outfit or dressed up for our fashion photo shoot.
What gets you up in the morning? Exercise – at my gym doing Paola’s Bodybarre, Yoga and Pilates. I rediscovered Yoga last summer at a health retreat in Switzerland and haven’t stopped since. I’ve always been as flexible as a pretzel, but the results from 2-3 Yoga sessions per week showed so quickly, it got addictive. Plus athleisure chic is so hot right now!
Your biggest virtue? I’m a great Hausfrau, who loves to cook anything from a Bavarian feast to a classic Italian puttanesca. My current obsession is making Japanese Dashi from scratch inspired by “Cooking with Zac” by Zac Posen.
Your biggest vice? I suffer from a serious fashion addiction. From a quick online fix, an all day spree through the high-ends and high streets of London or my mother’s 80’ s jewellery boxes. I can’t get no SATISFACTION!
Do you have a party trick? Talking German after 2am seems to work as a great party trick in London.
How would you describe your style? Haute Couture Barbie. My to go to pieces are – a flared Fausto Puglisi mini skirt, a turtle neck or shirt, a pointy Gianvito Rossi pump and a good set of diamond jewellery.
What would constitute a perfect day for you? Wake up to the sound of the sea, take the heli back to Paris for lunch at L’avenue, followed by shopping along the Montaigne, until we end up at the mothership – CHANEL on Rue Cambon.
What would your very last meal entail? Probably a weed infused feast of Pasta, Ossobucco, litres of red wine and Panna Cotta, to make the transition in the afterlife smoother :)
Three people—dead or alive, real or fictional—that you’d like to invite to dinner? Marie-Antoinette, Maleficent, Joan Rivers – All of these powerful women are my role models and spirit animals.
Turn on’s? Chivalry, witty conversations and a good taste in jewellery.
Turn offs? Stinginess, Time Wasters and bad shoes.
Tell us a secret. I have a bath everyday. Eat your heart out Cleopatra!
Your favorite quote? Trendy is the last stage before tacky – Karl Lagerfeld
An embarrassing moment? After an epic Guns’n’Roses concert, which I left early cause I wasn’t feeling well, my then boyfriend made friends with the band brought them back to our place without telling me. The door rang,I opened sporting a face mask and PJ’s and in front of me wasAxel, my idol…the man I would have left my bf for!!! I was mortified, but the fact that he was wearing tighty whities and cowboy boots still comfort me.
Your proudest moment? Seeing a tweed jacket of my late fashion brand on the cover of Grazia UK worn by Cressida Bonas.
Could you tell us more about some of the projects you are working on? I’ve written a TV show format, which is based around fashion mixed with heavy sarcasm. Can’t tell you more just yet….
